Wreck it Ralph

The other day I finally got to see Wreck-it Ralph, and I abso-friggin-lutely loved it.
I'm of the opinion that Disney had really gone down hill for a while.
Tangled was great but before that Disney had a long streak of misses for me.
Oddly enough they seem to pick up right as Pixar is having a bit of a dip. (I didn't enjoy cars 1 and 2 at all, Brave wasn't there best but I enjoyed it)

Obviously being an avid gamer and (at one time at least) a very passionate animator, I am predisposed to love the film.
I get all the game references, all of the jokes make sense and I'm getting to see lots of characters I was fond of before Disney had anything to do with them.

What surprised me was just how much I enjoyed the story.
Taking away all the video game elements, the characters are all still very likeable (including Vanelope, which I know many disagree on) and sympathetic.
There were moments that I found to be very emotional, and parts that really made me laugh which disturbingly seems less and less common now I've suddenly grown a soul and seem to tear up at every other film.
I'm really quite surprised that if all people Disney are the first to get a (fictional) film about games to be so damn good, and it's actually made me quite eager to see what they will do next.
Wreck-it Ralph 2 would be nice.

MindDump and OddDino

So as you have hopefully notices, MindDump has been cleaned up a little since my last post which, at the time of writing, was almost a month ago.
The reason for that is because of my University work.
I have an assessment coming up and have really been spending a lot of time trying to prepare my work, and myself, for the horrifying judgement of my tutors.

As you hopefully know, being on my blog and all, that I go by the alisas OddDino on most websites.
Twitter, Vimeo, DeviantArt, Tumblr...
As such it's always bugged me a bit that my website didn't match up with it.
Mind Dump was never actually intended to be a website in the way I use it now, originally it was just a place to share my thoughts, hence the name.

That's why I now have OddDino.com as well as MindDump.co.uk.

Mind Dump will be returning to its intended purpose as a blog for my thoughts (though I'm sure they will often include doodles, don't you worry about that) and OddDino will take over as my website intended more as a portfolio of my artwork.
It might take a week or so for me to start posting on it, I still have one week left of Uni before the Christmas break, but after that hopefully my posts will be a bit more frequent.

I'm often deterred from posting on Mind Dump because I feel I need both some new images and something to say, and being how I am by the time I have the other I might have forgot the initial thing I was going to post in the first place.

I will begin posting on Mind Dump as soon as I have something to share, which may well be in a few hours, OddDino posts to commence in the very near future!

p.s: I also have a Pinterest account now, by recommendation of my drawing studies tutor Helen.
My commitment to the site is yet to be determined, but if I should warm to it I will mostly just be using it to share images I enjoy.
