Wreck it Ralph

The other day I finally got to see Wreck-it Ralph, and I abso-friggin-lutely loved it.
I'm of the opinion that Disney had really gone down hill for a while.
Tangled was great but before that Disney had a long streak of misses for me.
Oddly enough they seem to pick up right as Pixar is having a bit of a dip. (I didn't enjoy cars 1 and 2 at all, Brave wasn't there best but I enjoyed it)

Obviously being an avid gamer and (at one time at least) a very passionate animator, I am predisposed to love the film.
I get all the game references, all of the jokes make sense and I'm getting to see lots of characters I was fond of before Disney had anything to do with them.

What surprised me was just how much I enjoyed the story.
Taking away all the video game elements, the characters are all still very likeable (including Vanelope, which I know many disagree on) and sympathetic.
There were moments that I found to be very emotional, and parts that really made me laugh which disturbingly seems less and less common now I've suddenly grown a soul and seem to tear up at every other film.
I'm really quite surprised that if all people Disney are the first to get a (fictional) film about games to be so damn good, and it's actually made me quite eager to see what they will do next.
Wreck-it Ralph 2 would be nice.

This movie is looking more and more like just an all around good time at the theater. I'm excited.
